Amazon continues to renew its catalog and if a while ago we saw how it renewed its Fire TV range with two new models or how it presented a renewed 8-inch Echo Show, now it’s time to know How your new router spends it.
The brand has renewed the range of eero routers, announcing the launch of a new model that comes with specifications such as support for WiFi 7 and that the 802.11be standard or a new design is still in development. It’s the new eero Max 7.
Betting everything on WiFi 7
The new eero Max 7 is a router that the company has announced and that comes to replace the previous model. A device that changes the design slightly although it continues to retain the characteristic cylindrical shape.
Inside this Mesh router hides a quad-core ARM Cortex-A73 processor that is supported by 2 GB of RAM. Inside they are used 3 radios dedicated to each band and up to 10 internal antennas, two of which are dedicated to the 2.4 GhZ band and the rest for 5 GhZ and 6 GhZ.
As for connections, it comes with a USB C port for charging and 4 LAN ports supporting 2.5 GbE and 10 GbEso that it can be used to replace the operator’s router, even in cases of XGS-PON fiber connections.
It is a model designed to exploit the connected home since it is Matter and Zigbee compatible and can also connect to devices using Thread.
A router to create mesh network systems or Mesh networks but with a curiosity. Instead of doing like other models and betting on Esasy mesh, this model uses TrueMesh, an Amazon solution that means that satellites of the same brand must be used to expand the network.
Price and availability
The eero Max 7 router comes loaded with features and if you want it you will have to pay the high-end price at which it will hit the market and which is 699.99 euros.
