When setting up a home theater system projectors have long been the best alternative if we want a big screen above 100 inches and we have a space where we can install them and control the ambient light.
In this context BenQ has announced the arrival in Europe this autumn of two new off-road models for cinema and series uses, but also with a clear orientation towards video games, are the X3100i and X500i projectors.

We are faced with two DLP type projectors and with 4K native resolution achieved with the lens shift technique, which promise to be compatible with HDR-PRO SSI Dynamic Black and high dynamic range tone mapping to better cover the entire range of contrast present in the contents.
Both models have LED light sources with useful life times of up to 30,000 hours, but the X3100i model is type 4LED (it has 4 diodes) achieving greater luminosity of 3,000 ANSI lumenswhile the X500i is type 3LED reaching the 2,200 ANSI lumens.
They promise to cover the 100% and 84% of DCI-P3 color space respectively and both are short throw, with the X3100i being capable of generating a 100-inch image at 2.5 meters away while the
The X3100i features a vertical lens shift system with 1.3X optical zoom and features a special low latency gaming mode that offers 4.2 ms with 240 Hz refresh8.33 ms at 120 Hz in 1080p and 16.9 ms in 4K at 60 Hz.
Both have automatic adjustment of the lens geometry and have integrated sound system, 5 watts in the case of the X3100i and 8 watts in the X500i, with support for Dolby Amtos tracks. However, if we want to connect an external sound bar or receiver we can do so thanks to the port HDMI eARC or the digital optical output.
Lastly, both projectors come with Android TV in which we can download and install applications and directly access the most popular streaming services, such as Netflix, Disney+, YouTubeetc.
