One of the most regrettable episodes of beef on social networks: Wetaca, the tupperware company at home, has declared war on the streamer Xokas, after he compared Wetaca’s tupperware with those of his new business venture: Knoweats, dedicated to the same activity as Wetaca.
A simple comparison that has led to a crossroads tweetswhich is more risque, than settled with the Cominuty Manager of Wetaca called “chubby” to the streamer, something that one would not expect from a company’s public communication. Xokas, who has not held back in this entire process, has responded to Wetaca.
The streamer has accused the company of offering small streamers and influencers food in exchange for visibility, without paying them a single euro. In fact, he has revealed that the company wanted to launch a campaign with him, following the same scheme, despite being one of the largest streamers in Spain, to which Xokas has always responded in a quite political and correct way, to judging by the screenshots of several emails exchanged.
Accusations and insults in the beef between Xokas and Wetaca
Be that as it may, the exchange of accusations and insults has evolved from a small dispute over a video of Xokas comparing the tupperware of both companies, Wetaca and Knoweats, to accusing each other of lying.
Although in the world of streamers this type of beefsthe truth is that it is a bit surprising that a company, especially from his public accountenters into the rag with accusations from individuals, with such insistence and so repeatedly, no matter how much he is the Xokas and no matter how much he likes controversy.
Xokas has responded that, unlike Wetaca, his new business venture, Knoweats, is going to follow the opposite path to Wetaca, paying collaborators to promote the product. Quoting verbatim from Xokas’s last tweet: All content creators who work with us, @knoweatsApart from enjoying a better free product, they will ALWAYS be remunerated. And by the way, the only garbage I ever had in my freezer were my last Wecaca tupperware.
Is it acceptable for a company to enter into a discussion of this size, publicly, with a streamer, no matter how controversial it may be? Only time will tell what consequences this has had. for a company like Wetaca or for the business adventure of Xkas.
