Youtube music has started to implement new filters on the app’s home page to show content related to different moods such as music ‘to cry’, ‘to sleep’, ‘party’, ‘romance’, or ‘feel good’.
The YouTube music streaming service has several filters on the home page that are displayed in a bubble below the search bar and are used to show content to the user related to the theme of the filter that has been chosen. That is, when you click on a filter, the home page will show playlists with Custom song mixes based on the filter.
In 2020, the platform incorporated an activity bar with filters, with the aim of propose music according to the user’s mood, and Therefore, some were added such as ‘Relaxation’, ‘Energy’, ‘Training’, ‘Commuting’ or ‘Concentration’ music.
Now, YouTube Music is starting to add new mood filters to continue personalizing the user experience. These new filters are some like music ‘To cry’, from ‘Fiesta’, ‘Romance’, ‘To feel good’ and ‘To sleep’.
This has been shared by some users through some publications on Reddit, collected by 9to5Google, where they have indicated that they have found these new mood filters when opening the application on its home page, adding to the already existing filters of the ‘app’.
With these new moods, YouTube Music aims offer more personalized and specific content, with playlists that mix new songs along with tracks selected from the user’s library. In this way, when selecting the ‘To cry’ filter, the platform will show content related to sad music.
