The first trailer of GTA 6 shook the world and broke several records after its publication at the beginning of last December. The trailer for the game, which will take the franchise back to Vice City, generated a lot of noise for satirizing several real situations that occurred in the United States in recent years and caused a stir. Among many, the arrest of Lawrence Sullivanwho in 2018 went viral for the tattoos on his face and green hair, which earned him the nickname Florida Joker.
Sullivan’s arrest was parodied in the trailer for GTA 6, by including a very similar character. Although the facial tattoos were different and the hair color was purple, it quickly became evident that Rockstar Games was making a direct reference to the aforementioned. And the Florida Joker did not miss it.
Months ago, Sullivan made headlines for threatening Rockstar Games with a lawsuit over the use of his physical appearance in the trailer for GTA 6. The subject initially claimed 2 million dollars from the studio, although later the figure rose to $10 million. A complaint that surely earned several laughs within the company belonging to Take-Two Interactive, which never responded to the accusations.
Now, through a TikTok publication, the Florida Joker once again launched a message directed at the creators of GTA 6. Sullivan stated that he does not plan to move forward with the lawsuit against the company, although he still claimed financial compensation and to be included in the new game.
The Florida Joker now wants to be part of GTA 6
In his publication on the social network, the Florida Joker left behind the million-dollar request against Rockstar Games. Nevertheless, He asked the studio for several thousand dollars and the possibility of giving his voice to the character that parodies him in GTA 6.
“GTA, Rockstar, Take-Two, we need to talk. I won’t sue them anymore, but they still owe me money. It’s been two full months. They haven’t contacted me yet. They haven’t sent me direct messages yet. Let’s do the right thing. Give me $50,000 or $100,000. Let me voice the character, let me go to fan meets when the game launches, to sign autographs and take pictures with them. Come on man, we have been in the news all over the world, on every blog. All the media talked about my presence in the game. Everyone knows who I am, trust me. So GTA“Rockstar, we need to talk,” Sullivan said.
The Florida Joker’s rant didn’t stop there. In the video he uploaded to TikTok he continued rambling about how his presence made GTA 6 was more relevant, among other issues. At best, he’s given Rockstar Games more reasons to continue making fun of him.
Let’s keep in mind that it is not even confirmed that the character who parodies the Florida Joker in the trailer for GTA 6 have a brilliant presence in the game. Although the first preview of the title has been spectacular, we still do not know what the story that Jason and Lucía will star in is about, nor what their interaction will be like with the rest of the individuals who appear in the chaotic Vice City.
GTA 6 There is no confirmed release date yet.. Rockstar has only revealed that it will arrive in 2025, but there is no more official data on this. This week, Ubisoft’s CEO speculated that it could hit the market only after April of next year.
