TCL ranks right up there when it comes to offering big-inch TVs. The firm has been marketing Smart TVs up to 98 inches in size for some time. However, during the IFA 2023 in Berlin it has shown what would be another new milestone for the company. And it is that TCL showed during the event a new 115 inch LCD TV.
Reaching this size on a television would make the set dangerously close to the dimensions of a projector, being a very interesting alternative to having a home theater. This model is already sold by TCL in China. However, it is possible that from next year we will also see it in Europe.

The firm has been betting on large-inch panels for some time. In fact, its 98-inch panels they are also used by Samsung or Sony in their televisions, being a manufacturer with a great reputation in this market. Now the firm surprises in Europe with the presentation of a television up to 115 inches in size.
The television had an LCD panel, and according to the company, It is the largest of its kind, also equipped with a powerful multi-channel audio system. The version that is marketed in China (the TCL X11G Max), has 4K resolution, MiniLED technology and up to more than 20,000 local dimming zones.
The television is capable of reaching the 5,000 nits peak brightness, with a native contrast of 7,000:1. It is sold in China at a price of about 80,000 yuan (approximately 10,200 euros).
Its capabilities surpass most of the projectors on the market, although it is true that, given the sale price, it is a television within the reach of very few.
According to Marek Maciejewski, director of product development for TCL Europe, the television will not arrive on the continent this year. Although its launch for 2024 is still under consideration, so we will have to wait to see if the firm really ends up launching it in this region.
