Microsoft plan a redesign of its next-generation video game console Xbox Serieswhich would adopt a diskless format and a cylindrical design, although maintaining the tower format and the black color that characterizes the current model.
The acquisition investigation being carried out by the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) into Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard has revealed the plans that the technology firm has for its gaming devices until 2023.
In the documents that have been shared, and collected by The Verge, a video game console with a tower format and cylindrical design appears, in black, under the code name Brooklin. Is about a “refreshment” of Xbox Series
This Microsoft console update I wouldn’t have a disk drive. which would enable it only for digital gaming, and would offer a storage capacity of 2TB. I would also have a front USB-C port and WiFi6E connectivity.
As indicated in the documents, the game console would have a starting price of $499. She would also be accompanied by another, codenamed Ellenwood, with 1TB capacity and a price of $299. Both consoles would be announced in late June or early July, coinciding with the company’s shift to fiscal 2025.
Along with video game consoles, Microsoft is also preparing a new “more immersive” controller, known internally as Sebille, designed for cloud gaming, with Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, accelerometer and haptic responses.
