Among the outstanding features of the LG smart TV is the LG Channels service, a feature that allows access to a growing number of free TV channels with very diverse themes and without the need for a DTT antenna.
Every few months the company announces small changes in its particular television broadcast proposal, with new channels and content available that are being added little by little in different markets.
Today they announced a major change to their platform that will progressively affect all regions starting this month, in an attempt they say to help users better access to your favorite content.
LG Channels 3.0 arrives
And, according to the manufacturer, LG is going to release a new version of its popular application to watch free television channels that will now be called LG Channels 3.0 and will come with a renewed user interface.
Its managers have commented that it has improved navigationthe channel guide and the options to find new content, dividing the main screen of the service into three pages: ‘Home’, ‘Live’ and ‘On Demand’.
‘Home’ displays a new larger, more visible carousel at the top of the screen that provides access to the most featured channels, preselected programming and premium content.
The section ‘Live’ allows access to television channels with live broadcast directly without having to leave the application. There is also a new programming guide that covers only half of the screen allowing users to know what to watch next.
Finally the section ‘On Demand’ allows you to directly access the catalog of on-demand content, including movies, programs, receive recommendations and watch a selection of the most popular videos of the moment.
LG Channels 3.0 It is already being deployed in South Korea and according to the brand it will reach the rest of the markets, including Spain, starting in October 2023.
