How to have a more secure Wi-Fi with the Movistar and O2 router by hiding the network when you don’t want to use it

Today, many of the routes that we can find on the market offer the possibility of working with two types of networks and thus operate in both 2.4 and 5 GHz. We have already seen how to take better advantage of each of them. But there may be circumstances in which it is in our interest that one of them, or even both, appear as hidden from other devices.
Most routers on the market offer this possibility and as an example We are going to use the one installed by both Movistar and O2. The Smart WiFi works on both frequencies among its options it allows the possibility of hiding the Wi-Fi network, which we do not want to use or that we simply do not want other devices to see.
avoiding prying eyes
Hiding the Wi-Fi network we gain security, since we prevent nearby devices and people from being able to see it and try to connect to it. The classic signal theft and to avoid it, nothing better than hiding the network.
For hide the SSID or name of the Wi-FI network it is enough to enter the interface of the router by typing https://192.168.1.1 in the browser bar and then marking our access code.
What we are going to do is disable the identified SSID. Once inside the router, click on the menu that appears on the left side of the screen and select the network that we want to hide.
In the main part of the window, we will see the text “Hide WiFi name” and two boxes with “Yes” Y “Nope”. Click “No” to hide the network.
At that moment we will see how a message appears on the screen that warns us, indicating that when hiding the network, will disable the WPS button.
The same process can also be applied to the WiFi Plus network (5 GHz) and in this way we will have the hidden network and it will only be possible to connect to it manually and if we know the name of the network and the password.
In this sense, it is advisable to note the name of the network once we are going to hide it, since if we want to connect to it, we will not use any other method other than entering it by hand or using a QR code.
One more step… disable Wi-Fi
We can also disable the WiFi network if we are clear that we are not going to use it. Let’s imagine that we are only going to use the router to offer a wired connection and we want the Wi-Fi network to not work.
As in the previous cases, in each of the networks, we have a section that in this case has the text “Wireless Network Status”. we mark “Disabled” if we don’t want them to work.
In this way **we will not be able to connect to the Wi-Fi network by any of the aforementioned methods until we activate it again.

I have tried this trick to save on heating. It is cheap and you can do it with materials you have at home

A moment ago we saw a method that has gone viral to stop heat loss at home and also cheap, since it uses low-cost materials. We already have the loss controlled but Can home heating be improved?
DIY comes again to help us with our homework and this time with materials that we all have at home. Aluminum foil is the key in a trick that combines it with the radiators at home to help better distribute the heat that comes out of them.
Don’t waste heat on the wall
Because aluminum foil, the one that many of us have been calling Albal paper for years (a brand that manages to associate itself with a product) can be used for more than just storing snacks when we go to the countryside or to keep the flavor of dishes safe and well prepared when we cook them or when we are going to put them in the fridge.
And it is that aluminum foil can be combined with radiators that we have at home in order to improve the performance that these offer and make it unnecessary to have the heating on for so many hours and incidentally we achieve that it is not necessary to raise the temperature of the thermostat.
With this trick, what we achieve is to improve the circulation of heat given off by the radiators at home, managing to increase the temperature by multiplying the heating effect.
In order to use this system, we just have to look for some cardboard that we have at home and cover it with aluminum foil. With the cardboard already covered, now all that remains is to place it in the rear area of the radiator and around it. The goal is for it to be between the radiator and the wall.
What this system does is redirect heat to another direction in the roomimproving the distribution and increasing the heat sensation of the radiator, since, instead of being lost on the wall, the heat bounces off the Albal paper that covers the cardboard and thus makes it easier for it to spread to other areas of the room.
It’s a kind of mirror effectsimilar to what car headlights can use with lights, only here instead of lighting we are talking about heat.
Thus can improve the feeling of warmth at home and everything, without having to raise the temperature of the heating.
