80% of Spaniards believe it is essential to adapt to IT to keep their job

The importance of technology in the workplace It is unstoppable and no one doubts it anymore. During the pandemic, the technology sector was key to maintaining communications and the possibility of carrying out certain activities such as payments, online purchases, remote work, etc.

This boosted the technology sector in general, and the labor market registered an unexpected boom in the hiring of specialized workers.

However, months later a wave of layoffs has begun in a sector that the Spanish consider will continue to be key in job creation in the next five years, followed by trade and logistics. Despite of “tech winter” that is coming, the use of technology is essential for companies, and the Spanish are clear about it.

Almost 77% think that not adapting to new Technologys could be cause for dismissal within five years. In this sense, two out of five Spaniards consider that the most senior workers could lose their jobs due to the accelerated advancement of ICT, as they need more time than young people to adapt to the changes.

This is one of the conclusions of the report «What will the labor market be like in five years?, that you have elaborated Gi Group Holding, multinational that offers 360º HR solutions, through a survey of more than 2,000 people between the ages of 18 and 65, with the aim of finding out from the mouths of Spanish people of working age what changes they believe the labor market will suffer in our country.

Technology, protagonist of the labor market of 2028

According to this study, in the coming years, technology may become an excluding factor for certain workers, as almost seven out of 10 Spaniards consider. Such is so, More than four out of 10 Spaniards say that companies will choose to reduce their workforce in favor of technology compared to 39% who believe that companies will only incorporate specialized workers.

The great protagonist of the next five years will be Artificial Intelligence. Such is so, that almost eight out of 10 Respondents believe that professions based on more rudimentary and repetitive tasks will be replaced by this technology. In addition, according to this study, the profile that will have the greatest job projection in the next five years will be that of a specialist in Artificial Intelligence (60%), followed by data analysts (51%) and software developers (50%).

Given this context, two out of three Spaniards trust companies and their ability to adapt to the new market reality, although almost 86% believe that companies will have difficulties finding qualified employees in 2028.

The training of employees, key to the competitiveness of companies

Technology has changed, and it will change the type of work, tasks and skills that companies require of their employees. The Spanish are aware of this and almost eight out of 10 Spaniards think that companies should bet on improving the skills of their employees to remain competitive.

In this sense, this study shows that in the logistics sector the application of digital skills will be key in the next five years for almost 7 out of 10 Spaniards. Next comes the industrial sector (62%), energy (59%) and medicine (54%).

Titbit raises 150,000 euros in its second investment round

Three years ago, two entrepreneurs from Barcelona They launched an innovative project within the audiovisual production sector. On this occasion, Titbit has given entry to reference investors in the world of advertising, and among them stands out one of the leaders in the sector, Juan Manuel de la Nuez, a professional with extensive experience and former CEO of the Wunderman Thompson agency. “In my professional career, I have met clients many times to whom the issue of content production for external communication or even internally, it was a real headache for them, since the agencies could not respond competitively in time or cost, and neither could the production companies. For this reason, when I got to know Titbit, I understood that it is a solution that responds to these headaches and therefore represents a clear potential for growth and investment.”.

With this round, Titbit aims to increase its national expansion, both commercially and in product development. The startup’s headquarters are located in Barcelona and also has an office in Madrid. “We want to create a commercial network that allows us to help other countries to achieve more agile and economical productions, since we have confirmed that the creation of digital content suffers the same problems outside our borders”. In addition, the celebration of the third anniversary of the startup coincides with a change of corporate image and the launch of the new website, which is in line with continuing to innovate in the sector, reflecting the value of its disruptive proposal.

Regarding the evolution of the project in the short and medium term, at a time of economic uncertainty like the current one, companies apply budget cuts in marketing and advertising, but even so they need to communicate more than ever, since they must compensate for the loss of sales caused by the crisis. “Many brands are looking for a new way to produce their content for digital channels, and this is where Titbit’s proposal becomes more relevant than ever”, explains Arnau Seix, who also sees international markets as an interesting option to continue growing.

“In these three years we have seen how big brands have connected with our message: closed and transparent prices, much more agile productions (maximum 15 days) and unlimited rights of use in all their pieces”.
